Fortune considers how Facebook quadrupled its video views in just the past year, and what it means for the broader ad ecosystem. “It’s happening because the social network’s
engineers, quietly and with little fanfare, have retooled Facebook’s interface to make video easier than ever to watch and share,” it writes. “These may sound like minor technical
distinctions, but tiny changes make a huge difference when you’ve got 1.4 billion monthly active users.”
