Unilever has signed an agreement to acquire clinical skin care brand Murad. The deal follows Unilever’s recent acquisitions of Dermalogica, Kate Somerville and REN, which jointly
position Unilever as a key player in the personal care prestige segment. Murad, sold in 42 countries, is in professional salons and spas, and specialist retailers such as Sephora, Ulta Beauty and
Nordstrom. It is also sold through direct sales.
