The Trustworthy Accountability Group
(TAG) on Thursday announced it has expanded its board with six new members.
Joining TAG’s board of directors are:Krishan Bhatia, EVP of business operations and
strategy at NBCUniversal; Joan Gillman, EVP and COO of Time Warner Cable Media; John Kosner, EVP of digital and print media at ESPN; Joe Marchese, president of advanced advertising products at Fox;
Rob Master, VP, global media of categories and partnerships at Unilever; and Michael Rubinstein, president of AppNexus.
The accountability group now has a board of 30 members, including
executives from major brands, agencies, media companies and ad tech firms.
The additions come one month after TAG tapped Interactive Advertising Bureau executive Mike Zanies
as president and CEO.
TAG’s purpose is to combat digital advertising issues including ad fraud, piracy and malware distribution. Hackers have been using real-time bidding (RTB) exchanges
to spread malware recently, so the group has it’s work cut out.
Last
month, TAG rolled out a new program to block fraudulent data-center
traffic by forming a collaborative bot blacklist. “TAG and its cross-industry partners are planning a range of other new initiatives that we’ll announce over coming weeks and
months,” Zanies wrote in a blog post announcing the six new board members.
