Broitman Leaves MasterCard For Startup Community, Rethinks 'Loyalty' In The Age of Mobility

Adam Broitman is stepping down as vice president-global digital marketing at MasterCard and will relocate to the San Francisco digital startup community. Broitman, a highly regarded digital agency exec before he joined MasterCard in 2013, said he is turning his attention to a number of promising startups, including mobile rewards ad platform Kiip.

In a personal blog posted this morning, Broitman described his tenure at MasterCard as “rewarding, fun, frustrating, at times maddening, profoundly enriching and most of all educational,” and singled out his work with “remarkable startups” as part of MasterCard’s incubator team.

Broitman -- a regular contributor to MediaPost, including a one-time guest editor of MEDIA magazine -- did not disclose what other startups he’ll be working with, but he said, “I will focus on a few key areas; consumer loyalty in the age of mobility, cross-channel marketing attribution and Big Data analytics, product growth and the role of user experience and finally, marketing from the inside out.”
