... And It's A Good Thing, Too

A new report from the World Health Organization puts processed meats in the same category as carcinogens like tobacco, arsenic, asbestos and alcohol. The study finds evidence to rank processed meats as group 1 carcinogens because of their link with bowel cancer, the WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer said. The report was published in "Lancet Oncology." Researchers concluded that each 1.8-ounce portion of processed meat eaten daily increased the risk of colorectal cancer by 18%.
