Costello is responsible for The Home Depot's merchandising, marketing, branding, advertising, visual merchandising, public affairs, e-Business, and global sourcing, including purchasing.
He joined The Home Depot in 2002 from Yahoo!, where he served as chief global marketing officer. Prior to that, Costello was president and chief executive officer of MVP.com, the Internet sporting goods and outdoor retailer. Costello began his career at Procter & Gamble, and was a member of the marketing team at Sears, where he introduced the "softer side of Sears" tagline. --Amy Corr
