The State Department has released a new process for looking for email technology that will automatically store officials emails as part of a government's push for better digital record keeping. On
November 30, the department issued a request for information looking for ideas from commercial and technology providers. As of the end of 2016, the department is required to have all emails stored in
a digital database.
