MediaPost Communications has partnered with The Acorn Group, South Orange, N.J., to produce the Online Media, Marketing, and Advertising (OMMA) conference and trade show during Advertising Week this year. Acorn's principal, Mike May, former vice president of events at the Interactive Advertising Bureau, will be responsible for producing, programming, and marketing the OMMA conference, to be held during Advertising Week in New York City (Sept. 25-30).
Last year, May performed the same responsibilities for the Interactive Advertising World conference in New York, jointly held by MediaPost and the Interactive Advertising Bureau. In 2004, more than 2,000 people attended the trade show, which had more than 50 sponsors and drew more than 40 exhibitors.
This year, MediaPost anticipates that more than 3,000 people will register to attend, and is more than doubling the size of the exhibit hall to accommodate more than 100 booths.
