Havas' MPG has lost its battle to retain the estimated $430 million portion of Volkswagen of America's media buying account, as the German automaker decided to consolidate its media business with Grey
Global Group's MediaCom, an MPG spokesman confirmed.
Volkswagen began reviewing its U.S. media last fall. MediaCom handled the German business for Volkswagen. With the consolidation, MediaCom now
manages roughly $800 million in business from Volkswagen.
Representatives for Volkswagen and MediaCom were unavailable for comment. -- David Kaplan
