Following a worse-than-expected showing in New Hampshire and a dismal performance in the last GOP debate, congressional Republicans are reassessing the viability of a Rubio nomination. Lawmakers are wondering whether Rubio could withstand increased pressure from Hillary Clinton in a general election debate. Rubio’s poor results give the Bush team another chance to convince the establishment of their candidate’s abilities.
