Don Scales, a veteran
digital agency chief who oversaw the build out and eventual sale of Crossing to Hearst, has been named CEO of Investis Inc., a global digital marketing communications agency specializing in investor
relations and corporate communications.
Scales, who will be based in New York City, succeeds Rupert Spiegelberg, who is leaving for personal reasons.
Scales stepped
down as president and CEO of iCrossing in June 2013, following its acquisition by Hearst.
He joined when it was still a fledgling search shop in 2006, after serving as CEO of seminal
Web design agency Advertising.com.
In 2010, he was named one of MediaPost’s Online All Stars.
