Campaign U.S. Editor Douglas Quenqua recounts in a story an interview he did recently with JWT Global CEO Gustavo Martinez. As the two were settling in to discuss Adland issues, Quenqua reports
that he couldn’t believe his ears when the CEO explained why a short-lived move to Westchester County, NY didn’t work out. "Too Many Jews,” the CEO reportedly lamented. The campaign
story was published shortly after the disclosure of a bombshell sex harassment and retaliation law suit filed against Martinez by JWT Chief Communications Officer Erin
Johnson. In the complaint Johnson alleged Martinez frequently uttered racial and antisemitic slurs. A JWT rep declined to comment specifically on the Campaign story but referred to an earlier
statement that the agency was conducting an inquiry related to the charges in Johnson's law suit.
