CBS has brought in GoldPocket--a provider of interactive TV technology--to help the network develop new interactive features, such as live polls and trivia questions, for its television programming
and its CBS.com Web site. Additionally, this new interactive component offers a new platform for advertisers looking to go beyond traditional media buys, said David Katz, Senior Vice President,
Strategic Planning and Interactive Ventures for CBS. "Survivor: Palau" was CBS' first show to get the new interactive programming campaign on Feb. 17, 2005, with a special interactive
episode that appeared on CBS.com. GoldPocket and CBS are now working to develop similar ideas for several other CBS properties over the next few months.
