WPP Spins Outdoor Assets Out Of Group M

WPP Group Friday said it would merge its Portland Outdoor Ltd. outdoor media unit into a new venture with Poster Publicity Group. Ltd. to create a global outdoor media buying and planning business. The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, would transfer the outdoor media assets from WPP's Group M unit into the new outdoor media venture, which would operate in 35 countries worldwide, including the U.S. -- JM
