As Reddit builds out its advertising stack
and attracts more advertisers to its now-public site, the social news platform is continuing to expand its brand suitability and measurement offerings as it forges a new partnership with
ad-verification company Zefr.
Over the past several years, Reddit has grown into a leading consumer discovery
platform and destination for advertisers.
After going public in March 2024, the company focused on developing more ad tools that paired artificial intelligence (AI) with the
platform’s billions of native shopping conversations.
This includes Dynamic Product Ads, which are designed to serve the
most relevant products to people based on their on-app activity.

Along with a variety of tools, features, and merchant platform integrations, Reddit recently expanded
both its chat-based Conversation Ads and AI-powered Max campaigns, while onboarding AI ad platform
Smartly.
As Reddit updates and expands its ad offerings, major advertisers as well as small and medium-sized
businesses are flocking to the platform.
In May, Reddit boosted its ad revenue by 74% year-over-year, reaching $625 million for the quarter and reporting a 40% year-over-year rise in
high-intent shopping conversations on the platform.
Reddit has added Zefr to its list of previous brand-suitability
partnerships -- with Integral Ad Science (IAS) and DoubleVerify -- in an effort to provide
advertising partners with a more complete and brand-safe experience.
According to a statement made by Zefr, the company’s technology is designed to
help advertisers better align campaigns with suitable conversations taking place on Reddit by providing insights that are intended to inform media quality, suitability, audience strategy and campaign
performance.
“The depth and nuance that make these conversations valuable also create an opportunity for advertisers to reach relevant audiences and
unlock valuable inventory with greater precision,” Zefr’s announcement reads.
Reddit’s
Senior Director of Global Product Marketing Nishe Modoyan says Reddit's AI-powered technology should help brands account for the nuance of consumer conversations and provide a greater understanding of
which communities to target on the website and app.
In addition to Reddit, Zefr currently has partnerships with YouTube, TikTok, Meta, Snapchat and other
digital platforms.
