Meredith Corp. announced today a series of senior leadership promotions in its National Media Group marketing, sales and digital departments, following
yesterday’s promotion announcement of Tom Harty to president and COO of Meredith.
Jon Werther succeeds Harty as president of the National Media Group.
Stan Pavlovsky is now president
of Meredith Digital, succeeding Werther. Pavlovsky will oversee all National Media Group digital sites and products, strategy, sales and data. Pavlovsky joined Meredith in 2013 as president of
Allrecipes.com.
Georgine Anton has been promoted to president of Meredith Xcelerated Marketing, a department she has worked in since 1999. Anton was named VP and general manager of MXM, home to
Meredith’s content creation agencies, in 2015.
Kim Martin is the new chief brand officer, and will oversee corporate marketing and video creation. Martin joined Meredith in 2015 as chief
strategy officer.
Doug Olson has been promoted to president and general manager of Meredith Magazines. He will oversee content creation and sales for Meredith’s subscription titles and
newsstand publications. Olson joined Meredith in 2000 as vice president of Interactive Media and has led the National Media Group’s acquisition integration activities.
Tom Witschi has
been promoted to president of consumer products. He will oversee consumer-focused revenue initiatives, including circulation, brand licensing, e-commerce and content licensing. Previously, Witschi was
CEO of the EatingWell Media Group, acquired by Meredith in 2011.
Anton will continue to report to Tom Harty, while Martin, Olson, Pavlovsky and Witschi will report to Jon Werther, along with
Chief Revenue Officer Michael Brownstein.
Yesterday, Meredith announced it was restructuring the senior management team overseeing its media operations. The company said the new structure will
enable Meredith Chairman and CEO Steve Lacy to “focus more on long-term strategy, business expansion and acquisition activities.”
