Google today officially denied antitrust charges in the EU. General counsel Kent
Walker said in a blog post that the company didn't unfairly promote its shopping service, or block online search rivals. He added that Google's actions were aimed at serving users. "We never
compromised the quality or relevance of the information we displayed," Walker wrote. "On the contrary, we improved it."
