President Trump To Eliminate Dodd-Frank Through Executive Orders

The regulatory Dodd-Frank law, written in the wake of the worst financial crisis in almost 80 years, will likely be undone by executive orders President Trump is expected to sign today. Part of the regulations include restrictions on Wall Street banks and financial advisers who sell clients expensive financial products with higher commissions.

While the actions won't happen immediately, federal agencies will review how to get rid of proposed or existing regulations. One sector most heartened by the proposed orders — the "too-big-to-fail" banks. On the flip side, it makes the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau vulnerable to firing.
