Country Living, Cracker Barrel Partner For Fundraiser

Shelter magazine Country Living has partnered with store and restaurant chain Cracker Barrel on a fundraiser supporting military families through Operation Homefront.

Country Living has teamed with Cracker Barrel on the "Flip It Forward Day" event for the past two years.

This year, it will take place on Thursday, March 2. With every purchase of a Momma’s Pancake Breakfast (buttermilk pancakes, syrup, two eggs and a choice of sausage patties, bacon, turkey sausage or turkey bacon) from a Cracker Barrel restaurant, opening till 2 p.m., the company will donate 20% of the sales price, up to a maximum donation of $75,000 to Operation Homefront.

Cracker Barrel will also donate 20% of the proceeds from Cracker Barrel Pancake Mix, Cracker Barrel Natural Syrup and Cracker Barrel Sugar Free Syrup sold in stores and online from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT.

Country Living will promote the event in its March issue.

"Country Living is all about celebrating a lifestyle that embraces home, food and family – a lifestyle that wouldn't be possible without the service of brave men and women in our military," stated Country Living editor-in-chief Rachel Hardage Barrett.

Operation Homefront is a nonprofit founded shortly after 9/11 to provide support to military families.

Cracker Barrel is spreading the word of “Flip It Forward Day” through shareable digital content on its social channels, such as a virtual pancake GIF inviting users to “flip” digital pancakes to their friends and family, as well as images and videos featuring artwork of pancakes by Nathan Shields.

Last June, Cracker Barrel committed to contributing $100,000 to Operation Homefront over the next year. The Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Foundation has since pledged an additional $100,000 donation.
