Time Inc. has named Staci Hallmon-Bazzani VP and brand sales director of Essence. She will oversee its sales team to generate revenue across platforms for the brand, which focuses
on female African-American readers.
Hallmon-Bazzani most recently served as Essence’s national sponsorship director.
In a statement, Cece Ryan, SVP
of Entertainment, Style and Multicultural of Time Inc., praised Hallmon-Bazzani’s role in growing sponsorships for the Essence Festival and its programming, including partnerships with
companies like Coca-Cola, Ford, Verizon, State Farm, McDonald’s and Walmart.
The annual Essence Festival is held in New Orleans every Fourth of July weekend.
Hallmon-Bazzani was also responsible for launching programming initiatives aligned with the beauty, style and entertainment sales categories to create new revenue-generating opportunities
for the Essence Festival.

She previously worked at Time Inc.’s People and Real Simple brands.
Separately, potential bidders for Time Inc.
