TurnTo Networks Debuts Email Content Collection Service

TurnTo Networks has introduced a service called Inbox Submission, which it says will streamline the collection of product ratings and reviews via email.

Instead of requiring that a consumer click through to launch a web page, the new technology presents the review form within the email. Users who don’t allow embedded forms can be sent a standard review request email, the company said.

The service is designed to help merchants and brands, the firm added.

Carhartt, a workwear retailer, has tripled the number of reviews it is collecting, using Inbox Submission, said Anna Cole, director of ecommerce, user experience and merchandising at Carhartt, in a statement.

Plus, Sur La Table tripled its review volume and increased its average star ratings across its product line from 4.1 to 4.5. according to TurnTo Networks. These ratings appear next to products on search engines, the company added.

George Eberstadt, CEO of TurnTo Networks, said in a statement that the value that stores and brands get from their product reviews program is directly related to the number of reviews they collect.

The company claims that overall collection rates are higher on mobile devices when Inbox Submission is used.

TurnTo offers a UGC platform comprised of four customer-engagement products Ratings and Reviews, Community Q&A, Visual Reviews and Checkout Comments.
