More Nonprofit Email Is Going To Spam Filters: Report

Fundraising emails landed in spam filters at an average rate of 18.21% in 2016, compared with 7% in the prior year, costing nonprofit groups an average of $25,000 in lost revenue during the 12-month period, including $6,000 on #GivingTuesday according to a report from EveryAction. The reasons are out-of-date email lists, irrelevant messages, difficult unsubscribe procedures and/or a high number of complaints, the study states.
