Verizon Now Owns Yahoo, Including Its Email Assets

Verizon has completed its $4.5 billion acquisition of Yahoo, including its email and digital media assets. But that doesn’t mean there will be smooth sailing. “For instance, though both AOL and Yahoo have large email account user bases, those accounts remain almost entirely desktop -- meaning Verizon loses the mobile foothold Google has via its billion-plus Gmail app downloads,” AdExchanger writes.
