X2Engine Inc., a provider of open-source CRM software, has debuted a new version featuring the ability to schedule email campaigns based on predetermined times.

The company has also named a new board member: David Buchanan. And having secured new financing, it has also opened a new office in Santa Cruz, California, the company said.

The updated software, X2CRM version 6.6, allows emails to be to scheduled days in advance, at the best times, the company said.

The software also offers new support tor tracking email open and click rates, and unsubscribe rates. And users can determine when marketing emails are opened, the company added.

The upgrade also allows marketers to place a customized thank-you text in weblead form landing pages.

The new version also includesX2Workflow, allowing marketers to track website visitors, capture leads and created automated actions based on customer behaviors.

In addition, users of the upgraded software can receive a notification email, SMS, or activity feed post when a location is logged in to X2CRM. This triggers a new workflow action, the company said.
