Piccone Returns To Simulmedia, Spengler's Out

John Piccone has rejoined Simulmedia as president-chief revenue officer, replacing Tim Spengler, who held the position for a year at the national TV ad-tech company.

For the past year, Piccone has served as chief growth officer of video marketing technology company Innovid.

Previously, Piccone held several senior roles at Simulmedia. He originally joined the company in 2010. When he left the company in 2016, he held the position of chief strategy officer.

Piccone reports to Simulmedia CEO and Founder Dave Morgan.

Piccone has had a long history with Morgan, including an early role at Real Media, which was ultimately acquired by WPP Group to form 24/7 Real Media.

Piccone’s responsibilities include marketing for VAMOS, the company’s data-driven predictive analytic platform.

In June of this year, Simulmedia announced it had begun licensing a stand-alone SaaS version of its VAMOS platform.

Spengler -- a long-time Madison Avenue vet who worked at Interpublic's Initiative before jumping to the digital supply side -- has departed from Simulmedia, according to the company.
