Over the past two years, Cheetos
has been engaging fans, and making a bit of money on the side, with e-commerce promotions offering branded Halloween pranks, holiday apparel and gifts, and a spring fashion line, among other quirky,
seasonal items.
Now, the Frito-Lay snack brand is capitalizing on the current popularity of Cheetos-infused cuisine on social media and the internet by teaming with celebrity chef Anne
Burrell to offer a three-nights-only restaurant devoted to Cheetos offerings.
Dubbed “The Spotted Cheetah,” the restaurant will be in business in New York City’s
Soho area (211 West Broadway) from Aug. 15 to Aug. 17. That’s timed to coincide with the closing days of this summer’s NYC Restaurant Week.
To grab one of the limited
number of seatings, fans need to make reservations using the OpenTable app on the pop-up restaurant’s site.

The
site also features the menu, which includes starters like Cheetos Crusted Fried Pickles + Creamy Ranch; entrées like Flamin’ Hot and and White Cheddar Mac ‘n Cheetos; and desserts
like Cheetos Sweetos Crusted Cheesecake.
Presumably, there will be ample napkins on hand to help diners deal with the inevitable orange residue involved in eating the popular
snack.
Frito-Lay will also be encouraging consumers throughout the country to make the Cheetos culinary creations themselves, by offering a free digital cookbook on the restaurant
site, starting Aug. 15.
