Starcom Keeps $50 Million Sun Microsystems On Global Media Business

  • June 3, 2005
After a three-month review, network hardware developer Sun Microsystems has decided to keep its estimated $50 million global media account with Publicis Groupe's Starcom Worldwide, the company said on Thursday.

The account includes global media strategy, investments, and local marketing support, a Starcom spokesman said. In a statement, Ingrid Van Den Hoogen, vice president/brand experience, advertising, and global communications at Sun, praised the media shop's strategic thinking as the reason it chose to remain Starcom's client.

Sun consolidated its global media planning and buying with Starcom in 2002. The contenders in this recent review were not disclosed.
