Dentsu Aegis Network’s Carat LA unit has been named the new media agency of record for the Jack in the Box quick-service restaurant chain.
The assignment follows a review that began last summer with seven agencies participating, including 15-year incumbent Horizon Media.
Carat will handle both traditional and digital media planning and buying for the 2,200-restaurant chain nationwide.
The account is estimated to bill more than $90 million annually.
CMO Iwona Alter singled out both Carat LA’s “industry knowledge” and “progressive technology” as reasons for the win, noting that it “aligns with the challenger spirit of the Jack in the Box brand.”
