Not one to wait and see how the summer movie season turns out, AMC has reached an exclusive for television exhibition rights to 22 films from Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution, including the
network window for Oscar-winner "Million Dollar Baby" and the upcoming "Batman Begins." In its deal with Paramount, the movie network will get the rights to 32 John Wayne films. Paramount plans to
release DVD versions of many Wayne films on August 2 after the AMC premiere, which includes some cross-promotion. The deal also includes such classics as "Hondo," "El Dorado," "The Shootist," "True
Grit," amd "Hatari," among others.
