Magazine ad demand, which dipped in April, resumed a positive note in May, with ad pages growing 3.9 percent over May 2004, according to estimates released Wednesday by the Publishers Information
Bureau. While ad pages eroded 0.7 percent in April, and have been erratic so far this year, total consumer magazine ad pages are up 3.9 percent through the first five months of 2005. Ad revenues based
on PIB rate card estimates grew 12.4 percent in May and are up 9.7 percent for the first five months. -- J.M.
