Conde Nast Names NYT's Jones Editor-in-Chief Of 'Vanity Fair'

Condé Nast has named Radhika Jones Editor-in-Chief of Vanity Fair, succeeding Graydon Carter who recently announced his plans to step down.

Jones, who is only the fifth person to serve as Vanity Fair’s top editor since its modern revivals in 1983, joins Conde Nast from The New York Times, where she was editorial director of books, overseeing the paper’s daily and Sunday book reviews.

The appointment fills one of a series of high-profile editorial turnovers at major magazines in recent months.
