Yahoo Mail is again facing service problems, following several reported outages in January.  

The International Timesreports that users were unable to check their Yahoo accounts, beginning at 11:30 EST on Monday morning. Down Detector puts the starting time at 9:42 a.m.

Yahoo Customer Care has acknowledged the problem, saying: "This is a known issue which our engineers are working to correct now. Once we have additional information we will be sure to reach out."

According to The International Times, Yahoo initially denied it was having problems, stating: "Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Yahoo Mail. We presently do not have any information indicating that Yahoo Mail is down. Would you please describe what happens when you visit Yahoo Mail.”

But Down Detector reports tweets that say, in part: 

• Out in CO 
• Down in NE Ohio 
• Down in St. Louis
• Down in Ukraine

Another user writes: “"How can you not know this??? Yahoo Mail has been dead for more than 10 minutes now both on laptop and on mobile,” The International Times continues.  

Down Detector has received over 2,000 comments. The complaints concern log-in (44%), read mail (30%), receiving email (send email to Yahoo) (25%).
