Following Nike’s lead with its showcase Niketown stores, North America's first adidas Originals Store will open this weekend in downtown New York City. The store presents the adidas Fall/Winter 2002
Originals collection. The store is designed to allow adidas to expand its customer base and to gain deeper market penetration in its existing markets. The first two adidas Originals Stores opened in
Berlin and Tokyo last year, while Asia's second Originals Store will open in Osaka at the end of September.
