How much could Facebook charge users for a paid subscription version without any ads? According to a round-up of Wall Street analysts, not that much.
In response to Chairman-CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s Congressional testimony last week that Facebook might someday offer a paid version without advertising, TheStreet.com interviewed several Wall Street analysts on what they thought Facebook could charge. The results ranged to as much as $82 per year, according to IHS Markit Executive Director of Media and Advertising Daniel Knapp to $24 or less, according to other analysts.
