Two travel sites have been hit with cyber attacks over the last several days.
Booking.com users have received phishing emails, seeking payment information, according to media reports. The
scam artists are asking hotels and other destinations for names, addresses, booking dates and other information on guests.
The website denies that it has been compromised and said that
guests have been notified and will be compensated for losses, The Independent reports.
In another email scam development, a hack of the Ticketfly website exposed information on 26
million people, including their email addresses and names, according to an analysis by Troy Hunt, the founder of the “Have I Been Pwned,” Motherboard reports.
The hacker told Motherboard that it demanded one bitcoin to help the site correct the problem.
