Interpublic agency R/GA has created the new role of Diversity & Inclusion Director and tapped Carl Desir to fill it. He is based in New York.
At R/GA Desir is tasked with building
strategic partnerships with diverse organizations and developing programs that support emerging talent through scholarships and internships. He’ll develop, implement, and oversee all diversity
and inclusion practices within the agency.
Desir joins from the 4As, where he was the ad trade organization’s vice president of talent initiatives. He’s credited with raising
the groups profile as a leader in the movement to advance industry talent issues including diversity, inclusion, training, recruitment and retention.
Earlier, Desir was involved with a
number of diversity and talent programs, including Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), 4A’s Foundation, ADCOLOR, T.O.R.C.H., Marcus Graham Project, JWT’s Differenter,
AEF’s speaker program and The One Club Creative Boot Camp.

Separately, the agency’s San Francisco office has appointed Noel Franus Executive Creative Director and member
of the office’s executive leadership team.
Franus joins from design agency Comrade, where he served as Interim chief experience officer. In that role he’s credited with
strengthening the firm’s product and service design practices amidst an acquisition by consultancy CI&T.
Earlier Franus was vice president, experience design director at
Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he led work for brands such as Domino’s, American Express, Best Buy and Microsoft among others.
