Figliulo&Partners (F&P) is appointing Nick Van Amburg as the agency's first-ever head of distribution to grow its communication planning offering.

Based in New York, he will join F&P's senior leadership team to oversee distribution strategy for the agency and its current and prospective clients as well as manage a team of 15 people across paid, owned and earned disciplines.

An agency representative said that this role was developed specifically for Van Amburg and his skill set.

Van Amburg departs The New York Times where he was the vice president of ad innovation, leading his team in the development and execution of strategic partnerships in support of digital advertising goals for the Story [x] team.

“Nick’s commitment to innovation will enable us to fulfil on the considerable demand we have seen from our clients for this kind of progressive media thinking," says his direct supervisor Judith Carr-Rodriguez, partner and president, F&P. "He is both extremely smart and a nice chap, which fits our agency culture perfectly. We can’t wait to welcome him on board."
