DDB Promotes Ahmed, Bengoa To New U.S. Roles

DDB Worldwide is promoting Azher Ahmed and Valerie (Val) Bengoa to newly created roles as the Omnicom-owned agency continues to apply its FLEX operating model across the network that creates client-specific bespoke, cross-agency and integrated teams and has been credited with landing Blue Moon, Symantec and AT&T. 

Ahmed will now serve as executive vice president, director, digital to focus on "capability connectivity" at DDB U.S.’s offices and clients such as State Farm, Miller Lite and Symantec. He is also responsible for ensuring the agency network stays atop of digital trends and capabilities.

Bengoa is upped to executive vice president, director/finance to build and implement a financial structure that enables DDB/U.S. to operate "quickly and efficiently."

Both are responsible for teams in DDB’s three U.S. offices in San Francisco, New York and Chicago, as well as Tribal New York and Rodgers Townsend. They report to Paul Gunning, president/chief operating officer, U.S.
