Continuing to promote a safer environment for users, Twitter is boosting its content reporting tools.

“We want to move faster in reviewing reported Tweets that share personal information,” the company just tweeted. That means users will now be able to tell Twitter more about the tweets they are flagging, and why.

For example, if an offending tweet contains someone’s private information, they can tell Twitter exactly what sort of content is being shared without their consent.  

That might include a user’s personal contact information, their home address, or their private financial information.

Twitter already offers several tools to keep conversations healthy, but the company recognized that it could better. It recently unveiled a “Hide Tweet” feature with which users can hide unwanted replied to their tweets.

Like Facebook, Twitter continues to struggle to provide a safe and secure environment for users.

Earlier this year, the company was forced to warn Android users their private tweets were potentially exposed.

Late last year, Twitter was also obliged to alert users to a bug that potentially exposed the country code of their personal phone numbers, as well as whether their accounts had been locked by the social giant.
