Dynamic Email Will Be The G Suite Default On July 2

Dynamic email, the much-rumored feature from Google, will arrive for all G-suite users on July 2 after months in beta.

The feature, announced earlier this year, will be the default for all domains unless company admins disable it, Google stated in a G Suite update on Monday.

However, it is only available on the web — mobile service will be offered soon.

Dynamic email will fuel interactive email messages and lead to “more engaging, interactive, and actionable email experiences,” Google said when it announced it was working on the project in 2018.

The feature allows users to “easily take action directly from within the message itself, like RSVP to an event, fill out a questionnaire, browse a catalog or respond to a comment,” Google says.

Case in point: making a comment in Google Docs.

“Instead of receiving individual email notifications when someone mentions you in a comment, now, you’ll see an up-to-date thread in Gmail where you can easily reply or resolve the comment, right from within the message,” Google writes.

In March, experts observed that dynamic email — or AMP (for accelerated mobile pages)— would allow users to RSVP to events and have fresh content whenever they open the message, but others said it would not have universal impact unless it was adopted by other email providers.

Google had approved Booking.com, Despegar, Doodle, Ecwid, Freshworks, Nexxt, OYO Rooms, Pinterest and redBus to use AMP for email, ZDNet reports.
