'GQ' Partners With CB2 On Furniture Collection

Condé Nast's men’s style magazine GQ has partnered with furniture and home-decor retailer CB2 on a line of furniture and accessories, launching today online and in CB2 stores.

The CB2 x GQ collection, one of the recent product-licensing deals for GQ, features a mix of midcentury modern furniture and accessories “that balance a sense of toughness with more refined, sharp details, such as metals, glass and marble touches,” according to a spokesperson.

The collaboration took inspiration from cities “with iconic architecture, from Chicago to Palm Springs,” on products that range from sofas to barstools, lighting to bathroom accessories.

"We've always wanted to do a collection like this and know our readers love to make their homes feel and look great. We couldn't have thought of a better partner than CB2,” Jim Moore, GQ's creative director at large, said in a statement given to Publishers Daily.

Prices of different products from the collection range from a Turkish cotton washcloth for around $4 to a tufted leather sofa for $3,000.

“We wanted these pieces to be highly functional for everyday life, but also eye-catching and beautiful, even when you’re not using them,” Moore stated.

Earlier this summer, CB2 partnered with Domino and Refinery29 for an in-store event series, which will run at CB2’s 18 stores nationwide throughout the year.

Each event is centered around a theme curated by Domino to correlate with CB2's seasonal collection.
