'Field & Stream' Debuts First Seasonal Newsletter

Bonnier Corp.’s hunting-and-fishing enthusiast magazine Field & Streamis launching a singular seasonal newsletter about venison.

Called the Venison Course, the brand's first daily newsletter launches today. It is specifically created for Field & Stream subscribers who have expressed interest in the topic and will publish throughout November.

Deer are America’s most popular game animal, so the Field & Stream team felt venison was a good choice for the food-focused newsletter.

“While we know our readers are passionate about this topic, we’re also excited to see how they react to a new newsletter format and a new delivery schedule,” stated Field & Stream editor-in-chief Colin Kearns.

Venison Course will include recipes from chefs, a step-by-step guide to homemade venison sausage and reviews and recommendations for kitchen gear.

“Our readers worked hard for that wild game, and we want to make their lives a little bit easier by serving up recipes for everything from venison curry to breakfast sausage, alongside tips for the best meat grinders and knives,” Kearns added.

October and November are peak deer season.

Field & Stream will deliver “hyper-specific content to help readers maximize their fall bounty and avoid meal fatigue in the future,” according to the publisher.
