Basic cable networks have rebounded from their advertising market downturn following the 2001 recession, and are poised as an industry for "double-digit growth as far as the eye can see," proclaims
industry economist Kagan Research. In a new report released on Friday, Kagan projected that basic cable networks will grow at a 12.2 percent annual rate through 2009. Basic cable network revenues are
projected to grow 13.4 percent in 2005 as a result of growing subscriber numbers and higher advertising rates, the company said. -- Joe Mandese
