Atlantic Media's business-to-government publisher, the
Government Executive Media Group, is expanding its podcast lineup.
The Government Executive site, which covers news for federal managers, such as defense, tech, pay and oversight,
launched the “GovExec Daily” podcast Feb. 24. The publication has been serving its select readership for 50 years.
The
debut podcast explores the legacy of Margaret Weichert, director of management for OMB (Office of Management and Budget), who announced her departure from government is imminent. She was the White
House’s leading personnel point person.
Ross Gianfortune, the publication's engagement editor, will host. The podcasts will be an estimated 20 minutes in length.
“GovExec
Daily” will utilize expert interviews and critical analysis to take a deeper look at stories affecting federal employees. Tim Hartman, CEO, Government Executive Media Group, stated: “There
is an incredible opportunity to serve our audience with more content across more platforms, especially in the sectors we cover.”
