Hearst Magazines has named Randi MacColl its associate publisher and group marketing director of its Discovery Inc. joint venture titles, including
Food Network,
HGTV and
The Pioneer
Womanmagazines.
MacColl joins Hearst from Sweeten, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer. In that role, MacColl led content, advertising, promotion and partnerships. During her tenure at
Sweeten, a renovation marketplace, she was responsible for branding that attracted $1.5 billion of construction projects to the platform.
In her new role, MacColl will take on marketing
initiatives for the three titles and pursue cross-promotional alignments across food, décor and lifestyle.
Hearst Magazines senior vice president, group publishing director and Chief
Revenue Officer Vicki Wellington, stated of MacColl’s hire: “Her wealth of experience in the markets we serve makes her an invaluable asset to this team and will be key as our businesses
continue to grow.”
MacColl begins her new role March 16 and will report to Wellington.
Prior to her time with Sweeten, MacColl was Chief Marketing Officers of the ICC, where she
directed global-marketing strategy. The ICC was formerly known as the French Culinary Institute. She also held senior marketing positions with 1stdibs, Architectural Digest and
Gourmet.
MacColl previously worked with HGTV, where she created HGTV On the Set design specials.
