Grist Taps Christian Skotte To Lead Innovation, Growth

Environmental media organization Grist has hired Christian Skotte as its new director of innovation and growth.

In this role, Skotte will lead audience engagement, growth, product innovation and engineering and analytics with a dedicated team. Skotte will also develop new ways for Gristto evolve its business model.

Skotte joins Grist from radio show Science Friday, where he was co-director. During his time at Science Friday, Skotte led the show’s digital team, in addition to executing organizational, editorial and digital strategies. He also oversaw social media and engagement campaigns.

Prior to his work with Science Friday, Skotte was manager of marketing and communications at the Freelancers Union. In that role, he oversaw its content strategy and social media.
