ANA Condemns President's Exec Order: Calls It 'Misguided,' Violates First Amendment

The Association of National Advertisers has issued a statement objecting to the President's executive order governing social media and other digital media platforms and "dictating" they cannot censor content on their sites.

The statement, drafted by ANA General Counsel Doug Wood, calls the order "misguided" and asserts it "violates the First Amendment."

"The First Amendment protects us from having the government suppress or compel our speech except in very limited circumstances," Wood writes.
