AWeber Transitions To A Remote-First Workforce

Email service provider AWeber is moving toward having a fully remote workforce, an apparent first in the email marketing field.

“Beyond the social distancing challenges and health concerns facing us today, this shift was decided with our team members’ and customers’ best interests at heart,” states Tom Kulzer, founder and CEO of AWeber.

The shift eliminates geographical hiring limits and could lead a more diverse global team, the firm says.

The company was “formerly based in Chalfont, Pa.," Wednesday’s announcement states.

The firm points toward research showing that working remotely leads to better health and morale.

In addition, a study from Quantum Workplace found that 62% of employees believe working remotely helps engagement.
