Shake Shack plans to add a restaurant with a drive-thru as part of a strategy to diversify the format of its stores, which have lost business due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The new drive-thru restaurant, planned next year, could have at least three lanes dedicated for mobile pick-up orders, as well as in-person drive-thru ordering like a traditional
fast-food chain, according to a rendering the company released,” per Nation’s Restaurant News. The company said it is looking to test drive-thru locations in suburban high-traffic
