'AARP The Magazine' Launches Live Video Series, Property Brothers Slated To Appear

AARP The Magazine is bringing its pages to life via a new live video series called “AARP The Magazine Presents.” The series will explore various topics, such as health, finance, lifestyle and travel, and include celebrity interviews, tips and interactive Q&As.

Home-improvement projects have been front and center during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first episode of the new series hopes to help people 50+ make the most of their projects while staying on budget, with guests Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott.

The HGTV stars will take part in an interactive Q&A on August 19 at 7 p.m. ET.

Home improvement is a particularly important topic to AARP’s target demographic. In a 2018 survey conducted by the organization, three out of four adults 50 and over say they want to stay in their homes as they age.

The Scott brothers will discuss simple, free or low-cost home repairs and improvements, what to look for when building, buying or renting a home, DIY repairs and upgrades, and when to enlist a professional.

The discussion will air on Facebook and AARP’s website. Participants must register to watch, and can submit questions during the stream.
